PROMS SPECTACULAR

SATURDAY, 21st AUGUST 2004

The 2004 Proms Spectacular will provide an evening of the highest quality entertainment, featuring conductor Jae Alexander, the English National Orchestra, tenor Wynne Evans and soprano Janet Mooney.

Once again an original World War 2 Spitfire will take to the skies, thrilling the audience with a spectacular aerial display as the orchestra performs classics such as the Dambusters Theme and 633 Squadron.

The programme will feature a mix of classical favourites, alongside traditional Proms music including Rule Britannia, Jerusalem, Land Of Hope & Glory (Pomp & Circumstance No.1) and many more.

The 2003 concert saw the introduction of a big screen to enhance the audience experience and this will also feature in 2004. As always the concert will finish with a spectacular fireworks display over the lake.

The World's Greatest Musicals In Concert

Thousands of people enjoyed a wonderful night of music at last year's Best Of The West End concert so we've decided to do it all again! Featuring star performers from London's West End, the show will include the most popular songs from the world's favourite musicals, including Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Evita, Phantom Of The Opera and many more. Performed by some of the greatest West End stars in the UK this is a high quality evening of entertainment featuring a wide ranging selection of music to suit all tastes.

Backed by a live seven-piece West End band, this is a show which will have you on your feet cheering for more. The concert is picnic-style and will climax with a thrilling fireworks finale.
