Duxford Flying Proms Spectacular
Saturday, 24th July 2004
Following a fantastic (if
rather wet!) debut in 2003, The Flying Proms Spectacular returns to
the Imperial War Museum at Duxford on Saturday, 24th July.
As
the only concert in the UK which takes place on the 'live side' of an airfield
you can be assured of a memorable evening in a truly atmospheric setting. Historic
aircraft will once again perform aerial displays accompanied by the English National
Orchestra as they perform music such as the Dambusters March, 633 Squadron
and Walton's
Spitfire Prelude and Fugue.
With
the second half of the concert featuring favourites associated with "The
Last Night Of The Proms" including Land Of Hope And Glory; Rule Britannia,
the 1812 Overture, Jerusalem and many more, this promises to be a concert to
bring your voice to!
So phone your friends, get your picnics ready and prepare to enjoy a Proms
concert with a difference.
